The Great Dream

India is a country having an enormous amount of gifted and talented young minds. We Indians treat our education more than anything in our lives. Most of the young people in India have the dream of studying MBBS and becoming a doctor and saving lives. We now live in an information era. This era has literally shrunk the work and has opened many gateways and paths to try and reach our goals without any fight.

Indians are typically hard workers and great fighters when it comes to fulfilling their dream. Becoming a Doctor is one of the greatest dreams for many Indians. Even though it may have not been our dream but definitely we would have thought about it at least once in our lifetime.

Barriers in pursuing your Medicine ≈ MBBS degree

There has been a shortage of doctors in India for a few years. The main factors are the economy and students scoring low cut-off marks in their examinations. These factors are a great barrier and are also a psychological factor affecting our young generation with frustration and mental stress.

He started an organization called FENCE Education in Tirunelveli as a small initiative. The initiative was small but the idea was a big one. His dream of assisting the medical aspirants to achieve their dream was both humanitarian and a brilliant decision. Medicine ≈ MBBS in abroad, Budget and Fees comparison

Due to the economic and cut-off barriers Indian parents and students have turned their eyes toward foreign countries. Many colleges abroad provide Medicine ≈ MBBS education, but most are not up to their standards when compared to the Indian colleges. But colleges in some countries provide education equivalent to world standards. The countries are compared below.

Studying Medicine ≈ MBBS in the USA may be a dream for many but it is literally a multi-crore rupee dream. The education might be up to global standards but the wallet must be extraordinarily heavy. Medicine ≈ MBBS in the USA could cost you more than 1crore rupees. Yes, that is the cost for our dreams to study Medicine ≈ MBBS in America.

Russia is another option for students to study Medicine ≈ MBBS abroad. Russian Medicine ≈ MBBS colleges charge comparatively less than the USA. But Russia is one of the coldest countries among the world will totally have different disease patterns when compared with India. Most of the population is also Russian speaking and the information from them is very not clearly understood for the students to practice medicine.

MBBS In Philippines VS China

MBBS In Philippines VS China

China is considered as the cheapest alternative when compared with the USA & Russia. But the major issue in China is Mandarin, almost all the people in China only know mandarin. And there are many cases of students complaining about the language problem in China.

Climate and weather and disease patterns may be a small factor when compared with language of communication. This issue will surely reduce the quality of the doctors studying in China.

The Philippines the only country in our list which is more similar when compared with India. The Philippines being in the same climatic zone as India geographically shares the same climatic patterns.

Thus the disease patterns are also similar when compared with India. This helps students in the Philippines understand both the Philippines and India’s disease patterns.

The Philippines is also the third-largest English-speaking country by population. The Philippines also have English as their country’s official language. Thus the curriculum is taught to the students in English.

Indian students easily understand their curriculum. Thus studying Medicine ≈ MBBS in the Philippines is a perfect choice for the students.

As mentioned in the above comparison Medicine ≈ MBBS in the Philippines is an excellent choice for studying Medicine ≈ MBBS in abroad. More than 10,000+ global students study Medicine ≈ MBBS in the Philippines every year. Most of the students studying Medicine ≈ MBBS in the Philippines are Indian medical students. What is the difference between MBBS in India and MBBS Abroad?

Most of the students prefer to choose a abroad country instead of India due to many reasons, the main reasons are low marks in their entrance exams or economical reasons. In this article, let us see what are the differences in studying MBBS in India and MBBS in a foreign country.

  • Eligibility
  • Fees structure
  • Cost of Living
  • Quality of Education

NEET exam is considered as the eligibility criteria for studying MBBS in both India and abroad. A student must get a passing score in NEET exam in order to be eligible for the counseling process to choose the student's desired MBBS seat in their desired college within India.

The students who have cleared the NEET but have an economical problem paying the huge fees or haven’t got enough marks to get a seat in their desired college tend to turn their eyes on colleges abroad.

Other criteria are the student must have completed their +2 from a state board, CBSE/ ISC. Biology, Physics, and Chemistry should be mandatory subjects. The minimum % in 12th PCM should be 50%. The age of the candidate should not be less than 17 years.

Fees Structure

In India, the average fee structure in Government college could be from  INR 11,000 to INR 7.5 lakh (complete course). In private colleges, the fees could climb up to 20 lakhs to 1 crore. If the students have not got enough marks in the NEET exams and still want to study MBBS in India the only option for them is to study in a private college in India. Or the student could always choose to study in abroad countries.

Fees structure for medicine abroad could vary according to the country and college, the student tends to choose. The average fee structure could be from 15 lakhs to 60 lakhs per year.

Cost of Living

The cost of living varies from country to country. In India, the average cost of living for a student could be around 20,000 Rupees per month. But in a foreign country, the cost of living could vary from country to country. In countries like Kyrgyzstan, the cost of living could be from 10,000-12,000 per month but for countries like Germany and the UK, the cost of living could rise up to 70,000 to 80,000 in rupees per month. So the cost of living is also an important factor while a student does his/her expense calculation to study MBBS.

Quality of Education

The Quality of education is also a strong factor when considering studying MBBS abroad. In India, most of the government colleges provide quality education when compared with private colleges. The private colleges also charge more when compared to the private colleges in India. Countries like Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Kazakhstan provide low-cost MBBS education but the quality and clinical exposure will not be as you expect.

Countries like the UK, Germany, and the USA provide high-quality education but the cost of education and living costs will have a heavy price tag.

So if the student wants to choose a college abroad proper research must be done with various aspects and a good consultancy could provide you with all the assistance you will need. To know more about the role of an ideal consultancy click the link below

Disadvantages of MBBS in Russia

Disadvantages of studying MBBS in Russia

History to know about Russia before planning to study MBBS in Russia

Russia is the largest country on earth by area and one of the powerful superpowers that most of the world countries fear. Russia has a huge population of an ethnic group called Slavs which we call now the Russians. The average temperature in Russia ranges from -8°C to 19°C, This makes Russia predominantly a cold country. Russian winter would last more than 6 months sometimes.

Russia was once a part of the Soviet Union. In 1991, the Soviet hammer and sickle flag lowered for the last time over the Kremlin. Russian tricolor replaced the old flag. Mikhail Gorbachev resigned his post as president of the Soviet Union, leaving Boris Yeltsin as president of the newly independent Russian state.

Russia might have it communist roots but it now serves as a democratic country. Russia is one of the superpowers in the world. Education-wise Russia has some of the best colleges in the world and a good number of students study MBBS in Russia. But there still lies many disadvantages that many consultancies ignore to address and reduce to tell you in order to feed their greediness for money.

What are the disadvantages of studying MBBS in Russia

  • Climate
  • Course Language
  • Language of Communication
  • Course Duration
  • Culture
  • Lack of Information

Climate of Russia

Russia is one of the coldest countries in the world. Some parts of Russia are considered as the harshest places to live on earth. The average Russian temperature in some parts could reach up to (-8°C to 28°C)

The agents might ignore to tell you these factors, some even inform you that our body will easily set to those conditions. Students will mostly face many hardships physically before setting to those temperatures and concentrate on their studies.

Course Language in Russia

Most of the Indian students know English, they depend on the English language to study any courses abroad. In Russia, predominantly almost all the colleges use Russian as a medium of lecture and education. Some colleges provide education in both Russian and English but the defect in this model is that only 3 years of the course is taught in English remaining 3 years are taught in Russian. Very few colleges offer students a full English course. So it becomes mandatory to learn Russian to study MBBS in Russia.

Language of Communication in Russia

Most of the Russian population are not bilingual so they only speak Russian for communication. During the clinical practice period in their academic curriculum, the students must be able to communicate with the patients in order to understand the illness and the patient’s history. So without learning Russian it is really hard to practice medicine in Russia. Even if a student gets admission to an English medium college he needs to know Russian for his clinical practice.

MBBS Course Duration in Russia

If the students by luck find an MBBS college in Russia that provides a full English course then the duration of study is just 6 years. In other mediums of courses, it is mandatory to study Russian first, and then the student is allowed to proceed to the main course. So the course length would be 6.8 years.

Culture of Russia

Like the rest of the world’s population Russians are most friendly and will not bother us unless bothered. Before few years there were racial-related attacks on Indian students, but after these incidents, the local police had taken severe actions against the criminals which caused these crimes to reduce. To know more about the attacks (click here). Yet many Indian families are still worried about sending their children to study MBBS in other countries like Russia.

Lack of Information

Most of the consultants refuse to give quality information about the country and the disadvantages this is because some colleges with these disadvantages pay more commission to Indian consultancies.

In Summary

There are many good institutions that teach quality MBBS in Russia but these factors which are mentioned above must also be considered while choosing a medical college in Russia. Commissions from big institutions play a major role in consultancies from hiding this sensitive information from their clients.

Studying MBBS in Russia needs proper research before finalizing your options. I hope this blog provides a small but quality resource for your big research in doing MBBS in Russia, please register your reviews and thoughts in the comment section below.
